1. Redmi Note 9 – Under 12000 Best Smartphone
Redmi Note 9 Review
This is a low-end smartphone with many features. The phone is not that premium as compared to its predecessors. The back is glossy plastic which might get smudged quite easily.
The color and the finish makes it worth the price. Although the glass back would be better since earlier note series had it but you have to adjust with the plastic.
Front side comes with 6.53″ FHD+ IPS LCD Display with a protection of Gorilla Glass 5. There is a small punch hole on the upper left corner for the camera. This whole setup makes the display looks good and bezels are quite narrow. Colors are not perfectly accurate but display is vibrant so its a negligible difference.
There is a slight problem with the brightness. The max brightness is on the lower side in outdoor conditions.
Camera performance is not up to the mark given the Quad Camera setup of 48MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth. The camera at certain conditions takes very good shots but that is not consistent every time. The camera struggles in low light conditions and little trouble with focusing. The only good part is the ultra-wide camera. The selfie camera of 13MP does fine enough job. Video performance is also poor.
HD streaming options are available on the top OTT platforms like Prime Videos but there is some problem with the Netflix app. Netflix does not open in Redmi Note 9 for some reason. I hope they will bring some patch to fix this soon.
With a battery of 5020 mAH, the phone lasts for a full day and sometimes even more. It takes around 2 hours to charge 100% with fast charging support.
The device is little hefty in hand even though the weight is just 199 grams. It feels like a bigger phone in hand.
The fingerprint scanner is placed below the camera and suits the normal placement of hands. Apart from that, you get an IR blaster, headphone jack, USB Type-C port.
It has a single speaker which is not the loudest but gets the job done. The sound quality is very clear for a budget smartphone.
The highlight of the phone is its Mediatek Helio G85 processor. The 4GB RAM variant comes with 64GB of internal storage memory. The G85 chipset comes with an extra clock speed of 1000MHz.
The phone handles day-to-day usage pretty easily without any major issues. There are some bugs like the Netflix app doesn’t work and the apps in the docks get disappear a lot which is a little annoying.
Coming to the gaming side, PUBG Mobile doesn’t run very well. At HD and High frame rate. In this setting, it is not playable at all with lag. Even at Smooth and Ultra setting the game felt choppy and a lot of lags while shooting or driving. The best setting to make it playable is smooth and medium.
2. OPPO A5 2020 – Best Camera Phone Under 12000
OPPO A5 2020 Review
This is a mid range device.
If you play a lot of games then you need to lower your settings for high-end games. Games like Mobile Legends will run smoothly.
With respect to media consumption, Oppo A5 2020 is pretty good.
The display is 6.5 Inches which is decently sized but lacks appreciable pixel density.
In the audio department, the phone has an upper hand as it comes with stereo speakers. Even the higher budget phone doesn’t have this feature. It pumps out a good amount of volume while watching videos, playing games, or streaming movies.
It also comes with headphone jack that is still a requirement for many.
The battery life gets you a day and a half juice. It is packed with a 5000 mAh battery which gives you a fair amount of lasting power.
Even though battery backup is good but when it comes to charging, the speed is quite slow. You only get a 10-watt charger which takes more than 2.5 hours for the full charge.
Coming to the 12MP camera, it captures a good amount of details with great colors when light is good. But under low light, you get a fair bit of noise in photos at nighttime. It does come with a night mode that helps a little bit but with sluggish processing time.
Now coming to the budget, it does come under huge competition for similar price points. So make sure to look out for your personal preference.
3. OPPO A12 – 4GB RAM Mobile Under 12000
Oppo A12 Review
This is Oppo’s current budget smartphone for those who don’t wanna splurge so much money on a brand new smartphone but want all the new features.
The Oppo A12 has a 6.22 Inch Waterdrop Eye protection display with a lower resolution of 720p. Even though it has 720p and not 1080p, it still gives you an eye-catching view for watching videos or playing games.
The special thing about this smartphone is that it comes with a vision for blue light protection useful for filtering the harmful blue rays. Since we usually spent the majority of our time on our smartphones, this is really a great feature to have.
In terms of the design, the phone is built with a 3D diamond place design. It gives awesome reflections and a premium look at different angles. It has a nice ergonomic design which gives you maximum comfort while using it. You don’t feel the edges very much that is also a plus point while holding the phone in hand.
A fingerprint sensor is provided at the rear side for the convenient unlocking experience. The phone also have a AI face unlock feature built into the front display.
Oppo A12 comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage capacity which is expandable up to 256GB.
It is packed with Mediatek helio P35 processor which is a below-average one. It does get the job done at lower settings when it comes to gaming.
The battery life of 4230 mAh is pretty decent for this price point. It gives 17 hours of playback for watching videos or 8 hours for continuous gaming. This battery life will sustain you throughout the entire day.
It is based on Color OS 6.1 with a new additional feature of riding mode built into the device. It has a smart assistant, a smart sidebar to access files and apps quickly.
Coming to the audio, it comes with a feature called Dirac that allows you to switch between different audio modes that optimize sound quality depending on what you are doing.
It houses 13MP main lens and 2MP depth lens. It captures crispy shots and good colors.
4. Vivo Y12 – Top Smartphone Under 12000 Rs
Vivo Y12 Review
Starting with the budget, Vivo Y12 is no doubt a value for money device.
It is packed with a smooth user interface, stylish design, and excellent battery backup of 5000 mAh.
There is a room for improvement when it comes to wide angle camera.
The design gives it a premium look. Overall build quality is decent but it is quite bulky in hand.
The fingerprint and face unlock is very fast as compared to other phones.
If you are going to buy this just for the camera then we wouldn’t recommend that. Even with a 13MP camera, the quality is not up to the mark.
5. OPPO A5 2020 3GB – 3GB RAM Mobile Under 12000
OPPO A5 2020 3GB Review
This is exactly the same as the Oppo A5 2020 4GB variant. The only difference in both variants is the RAM. This one comes with 3GB RAM and slightly cheaper in comparison.
If you are not a heavy phone user and do not play games on a regular basis then you should go with this variant.
6. Vivo U10 – Vivo Fingerprint Mobile Under 12000
Vivo U10 Review
The back panel is plastic but it has a glossy finish that gives a premium feel. There are two color gradients in the market.
You get a AI triple camera setup of 13MP, 8MP, and 2MP. Moreover, there is a selfie camera of 8MP. For this price point, you get good photos in daylight. There is no dedicated night mode which is a setback.
Next to the camera, there is a traditional fingerprint scanner that suits the normal hand placement. Face unlock is faster.
With respect to SIM card slot and memory space, you get a 2+1 combination that is a plus point for those who want to have 2 SIM cards as well as a memory card attached.
Coming to the bottom side, you get micro USB port, headphone jack.
The phone is quite easy to use in one hand and is not that heavy. The lack of a glass body is that factor to it. But plus side, you won’t face any problem with one-hand usage.
You get 6.35″ HD+ Display suited for watching videos with good color reproduction. Adding to that, viewing angles are also good.
With the 5000 mAh battery, you can forget about the low juice while binge-watching your favorite shows on Netflix or Prime Videos. You can easily go for one and a half days with this battery backup.
Talking about the processor, you get Snapdragon 665 which is an average processor for gaming. You might have to switch settings to low or medium for the optimal results while playing games like PUBG Mobile. We wouldn’t recommend long duration games due to throttling that will cause lag issues.
There are some issues with audio quality while playing music.
If you are a normal user with basic requirements like running social media app and streaming video smoothly then you can go ahead with the purchase.
7. Samsung Galaxy A20s – Best Samsung Phone Under 12000
Samsung Galaxy A20s Review
Samsung is known for its display, but this one has down low when it comes to the touch screen. Although you get 6.4 Inch HD+ screen with 16M color support.
You get Qualcomm SDM450-B01 processor which works smoothly for working professionals.
With a battery backup of 4000 mAh, you can drive it throughout the day without any worry. Although charging it is a headache.
Coming to the camera side, Even with 13MP, 8MP, and 5MP triple camera setup, Samsung lacks the grip. If this is solely the buying point for you then don’t.
You wouldn’t get any earphone inside the box which is a negative point.
If you are going to use it just for apps and mild gaming then you can take it.

This one is the cheapest one in Samsung M series.

The build quality is a little poor. It has a plastic back that doesn’t give a premium feel. The phone is slightly thicker.
